This website is automatically updated every 60 seconds with weather observations from a Ambient Weather WS-1965 personal weather station located in Webster, MA on the west side of Middle Pond. Weather data is received by a Ecowitt GW1100 module and processed by a raspberry PI running Weewx software to archive data and sync it to AWS S3 (where this site is hosted). The weather station provides the following readings:
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Wind speed
- Wind direction
- Rainfall
- Barometric Pressure
- Lake Water Temperature (Ecowitt WN30 Probe)
The rest of the observations on this website are done via software calculations and or provided from external sources (AQI, Cloud Cover, and Visibilty data).
All weather observations are also posted to the following websites:
- KMAWEBST32 on Weather Underground
- WEBSTERLAKE on PWSWeather.com
Software used:
- weewx weather station software
- weewx-s3 to sync data to S3 bucket
- AWS Cloudfront to provide a CDN for the S3 bucket
- The Belchertown skin theme built for weewx
- Weewx-Interceptor addon for Weewx to grab data from the Ecowitt GW1100
